The REOLINK RLC-822A outdoor security camera is designed to be connected to your network using a wired Ethernet connection rather than Wi-Fi. However, you can still access and view the camera remotely using the Reolink App or Client software. Here's how to set it up:
1. Connect the camera to a PoE injector or PoE switch using an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect the PoE injector or PoE switch to your router using another Ethernet cable.
3. Power on the PoE injector or PoE switch.
4. Download and launch the Reolink App on your smartphone or the Reolink Client software on your PC.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions to finish the initial setup.
6. If you are connecting the camera to a Reolink PoE NVR, please set up the camera via the NVR interface.
Once the initial setup is complete, you can access and view the camera remotely using the Reolink App or Client software, even without connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.
Please note that if you want to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network for wireless operation, you will need to use a different model that supports Wi-Fi connectivity.
