To install the Switchmate RSM001WCAN for Rocker Style Light Switches, please follow these steps:
1. Install two AA batteries into the back of the Switchmate.
2. Snap the Switchmate onto your existing light switch with the light switch and the Switchmate in the "up/TOP" position. It attaches instantly with the embedded magnets, and no tools or wiring are required.
3. Download the Switchmate App from the Google Play or Apple App Store onto your phone.
4. Launch the App and follow the few simple steps to connect and activate your Switchmate in seconds.
5. Tap the "Start" button.
6. Tap the "Walk me through the install" icon and simply follow the simple steps to activate your Switchmate.
7. Test the Switchmate both manually at the light switch and using the App.
8. Note that due to variations in the effective range of Bluetooth technology, there may be a 2-4 seconds response time from the wall switch.
9. If you have a rocker switch that requires an adaptor to activate correctly, attach the adaptor included and snap the Switchmate back onto the switch. If it still doesn't work properly, ensure that the screws holding your light switch plate to the wall are fully tightened.
