To install the exhaust hose for the Midea MAP10S1CWT Portable Air Conditioner, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the Exhaust Hose assembly: Press the exhaust hose (or extended exhaust hose) into the window slider adaptor (or wall exhaust adaptor) and unit adaptor, and it will clamp automatically with the elastic buckles of the adaptors.
2. Install the Exhaust hose assembly to the unit: Insert the unit adaptor of the Exhaust hose assembly into the lower groove of the air outlet of the unit, aligning the hook of the adaptor with the hole seat of the air outlet. Slide down the Exhaust hose assembly along the arrow direction for installation.
3. Prepare the Adjustable Window Slider: Choose the window sliders according to the size of your window. If needed, cut the window slider to the proper length using a saw. Use bolts to fasten the window sliders once they are adjusted to the proper length.
4. Install the Exhaust Hose assembly and Adjustable Window Slider: For a hung window or sliding window installation, cut adhesive foam seal A and B strips to the proper lengths and attach them to the window sash and frame. Insert the window slider assembly into the window opening. Cut the non-adhesive foam seal C strip to match the width (or height) of the window and insert it between the glass and the window frame. If desired, install the security bracket with 2 screws. Insert the window slider adaptor into the hole of the window slider.
For a wall installation, cut a 125mm (4.9inch) hole into the wall for the Wall Exhaust Adaptor B. Secure the Wall Exhaust Adaptor B to the wall using the four Anchors and Screws provided in the kit. Connect the Exhaust Hose Assembly (with Wall Exhaust Adaptor A) to the Wall Exhaust Adaptor B.
