Cleaning the LEVOIT LV600S Humidifier is important to maintain its performance and prevent the growth of mold or bacteria. Here is how you can clean the humidifier:
1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank from the base.
2. Rinse the water tank and water tank cover with room temperature water.
3. Remove the mist channel and mist tube from the base.
4. Detach the water filter from the tank by rotating it counterclockwise and lifting it out.
5. If necessary, remove the water filter sponge from the water filter for cleaning.
6. Rinse all the parts (except the base) with room temperature water.
7. To descale the humidifier and remove mineral buildup, you can use a mixture of white vinegar and water. Fill the water tank with the vinegar solution and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Then, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
8. Clean the aroma pad and absorption pad if necessary. Pull out the aroma box and remove the aroma pad. Remove the noise silencer and absorption pad from on top of the heating element. Rinse the pads under warm, running water and dry them with a clean cloth.
9. Reassemble the humidifier by following the instructions in the manual.
10. It is recommended to clean the humidifier regularly, at least once a week, to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
