To install the WAC F-004L-MB Smart Fans Orb Indoor and Outdoor, follow these steps:
1. Mounting Options:
- Mount the fan to the outlet box as shown in the manual.
- Remove one set xxxx from the mounting bracket and set it aside for later use.
- Pass the supply wires through the mounting bracket and secure them to the outlet box.
- Place the blade into the motor housing.
- Insert the blades into the slots, aligning them with the motor assembly holes.
- Secure the blades with the blade attachment screws and washers.
2. Hanging the Fan:
- Remove two opposing screws and loosen the other two.
- Pass the supply wires through the mounting plate.
- Place the trim ring onto the canopy with the opening of the four clips facing up.
- Lift the motor assembly and hang it on the hook on the mounting plate using one of the xxxx holes.
- Secure the safety cable to the building structure using a wood xxxx (not included).
3. Making the Electrical Connections:
- Follow the instructions in the manual to make the necessary electrical connections.
4. Installing the Optional Wall Control:
- Connect the green wire marked "GROUND" from the wall control to the copper wire from the wall outlet box that feeds back to the circuit breaker.
- Connect the black wire marked "LINE IN" from the wall control to the black LINE VOLTAGE wire from the wall outlet box that feeds back to the circuit breaker.
- Connect the red wire from the wall control to the black wire from the wall outlet box that feeds up to the fan.
- Connect the white wire from the wall control to the white (neutral) wire from the wall outlet box.
- Tuck the wire connections inside the outlet box and secure the wall control with the provided screws.
- Attach the wall mounting plate over the wall switch and secure it with the provided screws.
- Fasten the wall plate to the wall mounting plate.
5. Installing the Adapter Plate / Finishing the Installation:
- Secure the wire connectors with the supplied wire ties.
- Remove the motor from the hook on the mounting bracket and slide it up to the mounting bracket.
- Place the keyhole on the motor over the xxxx on the mounting bracket and turn the motor until it locks in place.
- Align the circular hole on the canopy with the remaining hole on the mounting bracket and secure it with the screws.
- Raise the trim ring and line up the four tabs with the four grooves on the mounting bracket. Slide the trim ring and secure it to the canopy until snug.
- Remove one of the three screws from the mounting ring and loosen the others (do not remove).
- Install the adapter plate by screwing in the previously removed xxxx and tightening the others.
6. Installing the Luminaire Cover and Luminaire Module & Glass:
- Follow the instructions in the manual to install the luminaire cover and luminaire module & glass.
7. Finishing the Installation:
- Follow the remaining steps in the manual to complete the installation.
