To set up and use the DVR functionality on the AirTV Dual-tuner Local Channel Streamer, follow these steps:
1. Connect an external hard drive: The DVR functionality requires an external storage device (sold separately) to record. Connect a compatible external USB hard drive (flash drives are not compatible) to the USB 2.0 port on the AirTV device.
2. Format the external hard drive: Once the external hard drive is connected, go to the setup menu on the AirTV device and select "format drive" to format the hard drive for use with the DVR.
3. Set up recordings: Using the Sling TV app (required), you can set single-episode or series recordings for local channels. You can record up to two shows at once or watch one show live and record another.
4. Access recorded content: Recorded content will appear alongside Sling TV's Cloud DVR for seamless integration. You can access recorded content from any compatible device, both inside and outside of your home.
5. Playback and control: When watching recorded local channel content, you can pause, rewind, or fast-forward using the playback controls within the Sling TV app.
Please note that the AirTV Dual-tuner Local Channel Streamer supports recording up to 2 Terabytes of storage for DVR. The Sling TV Cloud DVR requires a monthly subscription.
