To connect the VIZIO V51x-J6 Sound Bar to your TV, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your TV has an HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) or an optical audio output. These are the recommended connections for the best audio quality.
2. Connect one end of the HDMI cable (not included) to the HDMI ARC or optical audio output on your TV.
3. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC or optical input on the Sound Bar.
4. Power on your TV and the Sound Bar.
5. On your TV, go to the audio settings menu and select the appropriate audio output option. If using HDMI ARC, select the ARC or eARC option. If using optical audio, select the optical audio output.
6. On the Sound Bar, press the Input button on the remote control or the Sound Bar itself to select the HDMI ARC or optical input.
7. Adjust the volume on the Sound Bar to your desired level.
Note: If your TV does not have HDMI ARC or optical audio output, you can also connect the Sound Bar using the included RCA cables. Simply connect the red and white RCA cables from the TV's audio output to the corresponding RCA inputs on the Sound Bar.
