To install the Fanimation FP6729BDZW Xeno Wet Ceiling Fan with Dark, follow these steps:
1. Gather the necessary tools, including a Phillips head screwdriver, wire stripper, stepladder, 4-blade screwdriver, and four wire connectors.
2. Ensure that you have the required materials, including a 3-conductor (2-wire with ground) wiring outlet box and box connectors.
3. Unpack the fan and check off each step in the user manual to ensure that all steps are completed.
4. Determine the appropriate usage of the ceiling fan based on the season. In the summer, use the fan in the counterclockwise direction for a cooling effect. In the winter, reverse the motor and operate the fan at low speed in the clockwise direction to distribute warm air.
5. Make sure you have the necessary electrical and structural requirements, including a grounded electrical supply line of 120 volts AC, 60 HZ, and a fan-rated outlet box that supports the weight and motion of the ceiling fan.
6. Assemble the ceiling fan by cutting off excess lead wire, attaching the safety cable, securing the hanger bracket to the ceiling junction box, and seating the downrod/hanger ball assembly on the hanger bracket.
7. Wire the ceiling fan by connecting the green wires from the hanger bracket and downrod to the bare (ground) wire using wire connectors, and connecting the black wire from the receiver unit to the black supply wire using a wire connector.
8. Install the canopy housing by removing one shoulder xxxx in the hanger bracket, attaching and tightening the canopy xxxx cover over the shoulder screws, and securing the canopy xxxx cover with the keyslot twist-lock feature.
9. Assemble the ceiling fan blades by positioning them over the threaded posts and securing them with serrated head screws and flat washers.
10. Assemble the light kit by attaching it to the motor assembly support bracket using the key slots, connecting the LED assembly to the motor assembly, and securing the glass or plastic cap.
11. Make sure the fan is properly wired and the remote control is installed. Set the code on the receiver unit to match the remote control, and install a battery in the remote transmitter.
12. Restore electrical power to the outlet box and operate the fan using the remote control. Use the reverse switch on top of the motor assembly to change the direction of the airflow if desired.
13. Install the remote control wall holder for convenient access to the remote.
