To connect your Hitachi CP-X440 LCD projector to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both the projector and your computer are turned off.
2. Locate the RGB input port on the back of the projector. It is labeled "Computer In" and has a 15-pin D-sub connector.
3. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the RGB output port on your computer. This port is also a 15-pin D-sub connector and is usually blue in color.
4. Connect the other end of the VGA cable to the RGB input port on the projector.
5. Once the cable is securely connected, turn on the projector and your computer.
6. On your computer, go to the display settings. This can usually be accessed by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting "Display settings" or "Screen resolution."
7. In the display settings, select the option to extend or duplicate your display onto the projector. The exact wording may vary depending on your operating system.
8. Adjust the projector's focus and keystone correction, if necessary, to ensure a clear and properly aligned image.
