To install the ITC Luna Flex Light, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect power: Before installing, adding, or changing any component, make sure to disconnect the power source to avoid any hazards.
2. Safety precautions: Account for all parts and destroy all packing materials to prevent any hazards to children. Ensure that the luminaire assembly is installed at least 6 inches away from any combustible materials.
3. Power device recommendation: For safety purposes, ITC recommends using a Class 2 power device for tape light installations. If you are not using a Class 2 power device, it is highly recommended to use appropriate fusing, depending on the length of the tape light.
4. Installation considerations for all flexible lighting products:
a. Do not bend the lighting more than necessary. It should only be bent to a 1" radius. Bending it to a tight 90-degree angle could damage the circuit.
b. Only bend the LED ribbon in one natural direction and avoid twisting it in an unnatural direction.
5. Installation considerations for RNLL Flexible Lighting (Luna):
a. Unroll the entire length of Luna (RNLL) before installing.
b. Start at the wire lead end and the beginning of the channel. Work the light into the channel gradually, about 6 inches at a time. The light should easily fit into the channel by thumbing it in.
c. When pushing the light into the channel, make sure to push towards the wired end. Pushing away from the wired end may leave a gap at the end of the run.
d. Avoid using a roller, as it may cause damage to the LED circuit.
6. Track installation: Determine the installation location and secure the track in place using tape or screws. Install the light into the track by gently rocking it back and forth. Refer to the installation tips mentioned above to ensure a successful installation.
7. Wiring: Follow the provided wiring diagram to connect the light to your system.
8. Field cutting: Note that RNLL flexible lighting cannot be field cut. Cutting the light will void the warranty.
