To set the desired temperature on the hygger HG-003 Variable Frequency Quartz Aquarium Heater, follow these steps:
1. Plug in the heater and place it fully submerged in the water of your fish tank.
2. The LED digital temperature display on the controller will show the current water temperature.
3. Long press the "SET" button on the controller until the green light turns on and the digital temperature on the screen starts flashing.
4. Use the "SET" button or rotate it to adjust the desired temperature. Each press of the "SET" button changes the temperature by 1°F, while each rotation changes it by 0.5°F.
5. For example, if you want to set the temperature to 82°F, press the "SET" button until the digital temperature on the screen reaches 82°F. The heater will then heat the water to 81°F at 100% power. Once it reaches 81°F, the heater will switch to variable frequency mode and slow down to 50% power until it reaches 82°F.
Please note that if the digital temperature on the controller is inconsistent with the actual water temperature in the tank, you can calibrate the controller by long-pressing the "SET" button and rotating it until the digital temperature matches the tank temperature.
