To assemble and use the hygger HG-966 Auto Aquarium Gravel Cleaner, please follow the instructions below:
1. Attach the multi-connection faucet adaptor to your faucet: The multi-connection faucet adaptor comes in three sizes (external thread match 15/16 internal thread faucet, internal thread match M21 external thread faucet, and internal thread match 3/4 external thread faucet). Choose the right connector that fits your faucet and connect it to the first section of the copper.
2. Install the waterflow control valve: Connect the quick release coupling to the first section of the copper. This will allow you to control the water flow.
3. Attach the gravel tube: Connect the gravel tube (13 inch) to the waterflow assembly. Make sure the gravel tube valve is closed before using the aquarium gravel vacuum.
4. Submerge the gravel tube in aquarium water: Place the gravel tube into the aquarium water, ensuring it is fully submerged.
5. Turn on the faucet: Open the water flow assembly valve and turn on the faucet. This will create suction and start the vacuuming process.
6. Adjust water flow: Open the gravel tube valve to begin vacuuming. If sand enters the gravel tube, adjust the valve on the gravel tube to reduce the water flow.
7. To remove debris: If you have a gravel-free aquarium, you can use the debris vacuum (3 inch) to suck out detritus and fish waste.
To fill the aquarium:
1. Close the gravel tube valve.
2. Close the multi-connection faucet adaptor.
3. Open the gravel tube valve.
Tips:
- Ensure the water flow is strong enough to agitate the gravel and suck out debris.
- Do not bend the hose, as it may cause slow water flow and affect drainage efficiency.
