To connect the AJAX FireProtect / FireProtect Plus detector to the AJAX security system, follow these steps:
1. Install and set up the AJAX hub according to the hub user guide. Create an account, add the hub, and create at least one room in the AJAX app.
2. Make sure the hub is switched on and connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable and/or GSM network. Ensure that the hub is disarmed and not updating by checking its status in the AJAX app.
3. In the AJAX app, select "Add Device" and name the device. Scan or type the QR code located on the detector body or packaging. Select the location (room) for the detector.
4. Tap "Add" and the countdown will start.
5. Switch on the detector by pressing the power button. The AJAX logo on the detector will light up red for a second to indicate that it is on.
6. The detector should be located within the coverage area of the wireless network of the hub. The connection request is transmitted at the moment of switching on the device. If the pairing fails, switch off the detector for 5 seconds and retry.
7. Once successfully connected, the detector will be displayed in the list of devices in the AJAX app. The update of the detector status in the list depends on the device inquiry time set in the hub settings.
