To properly install the BASS HABIT PP70.2 2 Channel Class AB Amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the audio system and other electronic devices before starting. Disconnect the negative (-) lead from your vehicle's battery.
2. Choose a mounting location for the amplifier that will not be damaged and is not covered up. Ensure that the amplifier remains dry and is not mounted outside the vehicle or in the engine compartment.
3. Proper amplifier cooling is essential for its operation. If the amplifier is to be installed in an enclosed space, make sure there is sufficient air circulation for it to cool itself.
4. If mounting the amplifier under a seat, ensure that it is clear of all moving parts and does not affect the seat functionality.
5. Before drilling any holes or fixing any screws, check clearances on both sides of the planned mounting surface. Remember that the screws can extend behind the surface.
6. Take note of all fuel lines, hydraulic brake lines, vacuum lines, and electrical wiring in the installation area. Use extreme caution when cutting or drilling in and around these areas.
7. Use a utility knife to remove unwanted fabric or vinyl before drilling or cutting any holes to prevent material from snagging in a drill bit.
8. When routing cables, keep input-signal cables away from power cables and speaker wires.
9. When making connections, ensure that all cables are secure and properly insulated.
10. Mount the amplifier securely using nuts and bolts or the supplied mounting screws.
