To connect the Coldbuster MWD5 Programmable Thermostat to your Wi-Fi and smartphone, follow these steps:
1. Download the SWATT OJ app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Make sure to download the app using the provided links in the manual, as other similar apps may not work with the Australasia version of the thermostat.
2. Once the app is installed, do not proceed further with the app setup at this stage.
3. On the thermostat, tap the "Menu" button on the home screen.
4. Scroll down and tap the "App Control" button to access the app setup options.
5. Tap the "Wi-Fi Connection" button to set up the Wi-Fi connection.
6. Choose the "Manual" setup option for easier setup.
7. Tap the name of your desired network from the list.
8. Enter your network key (password) when prompted. Use the provided tips on using the keyboard if needed.
9. Confirm the network key and tap the "✓" button to start connecting the thermostat to Wi-Fi. The "Status" screen will be displayed, showing the status of the Wi-Fi connection.
10. Tap the "Left Arrow" button to return to the menu.
11. To connect your smartphone to the thermostat, open the SWATT OJ app on your smartphone.
12. If you have already created a login and password, click on "Already a User? Log in." If this is your first time, create a username and password.
13. Once the app opens, click on "GET STARTED" and then tick the three Terms & Conditions checkboxes. Click on "ACCEPT."
14. On the thermostat, tap the "Menu" button on the home screen and scroll down to access the app setup options.
15. Tap the "Connect to App" button.
16. Choose how to connect to your app: either by scanning the displayed QR code with your mobile or entering the thermostat ID in your app.
17. After connecting, give the thermostat a name (e.g., Master Ensuite, Kid's bathroom) and identify the heating zone it is in (e.g., bathrooms, living area).
18. Explore the various features of the thermostat by tapping the three short horizontal lines at the top right corner of the screen (menu button). Some useful features include setting up schedules, managing zones, and changing your password in the "My Profile" section.
