To install the SwitchBot W1101500 Smart Motion Door Sensor, follow these steps:
1. Open the battery cover and insert two AAA batteries following the "+" and "-" signs. Close the battery cover and press it down until it clicks into place.
2. Open the SwitchBot app on your smartphone or tablet and sign in.
3. Tap the "+" icon at the top right of the home page and select the Motion Sensor icon.
4. Follow the instructions in the app to complete the setup.
You can choose to place the Motion Sensor directly on a table or shelf, or stick it to a flat surface using the 3M double-sided adhesive tape. Make sure the lens is facing towards the desired area to be detected and is placed close to the edge of the table or shelf.
If you are a pet owner, it is recommended to install the Motion Sensor 0.1 to 0.2 m (3.9 to 7.9 in.) higher than your pet(s) with the Reset Button facing down, to prevent false alarms triggered by your pets.
If you want to use the Cloud Service feature, you will need a SwitchBot Hub Mini (sold separately). After setting up the Hub Mini, you can enable Cloud Services in the app settings.
