To install the mychef Frontal Condensation Hood, follow these steps:
1. Positioning: Unpack the hood and place it on the mychef oven, aligning it flush with the sides and at the back so that the chimney of the oven aligns with the inlet hole located in the lower part of the condensation hood.
2. Electrical connection: Check that the voltage at the installation point matches the operating voltage of the hood. Before performing any electrical work, ensure that no electrical current is reaching the connection point. Make sure to establish an effective ground connection and use wiring and safety devices with appropriate cross-sections. Follow the current regulations for connecting the equipment to the low voltage network. Verify that all cables are securely attached.
3. Drain connection: The condensation hood collects water vapor from the oven and eliminates it through a drain pipe. Connect the drain hose to the outlet located at the back of the hood. Connect the other end of the hose to a drainage point in the building installation using the provided flexible Ø20mm tube. Keep all ventilation openings clear of obstacles.
4. Additional installation for stacked ovens: If you are mounting the hood on multiple stacked mychef ovens, you need to channel the chimney of the lower unit and connect it to the rear inlet of the condensing hood. Remove the plastic plug provided in the hood inlet and make the connection using a 40mm inner Ø tube.
Please refer to the instruction manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations of the installation process.
