To connect the ZeeVee ZvSync-NA HD Digital Tuner-Decoder QAM to your television, follow these steps:
1. Power Connection: Connect the supplied wall-mount power supply to the power connector on the rear panel of the ZvSync unit. Make sure to use the provided power supply to avoid voiding the warranty.
2. Aerial/Cable/RF Connection: If you want to receive over-the-air channels, connect your antenna to the RF input jack labeled "Aerial/Cable/RF Input" on the rear panel of the ZvSync unit. If you want to receive cable channels, connect the cable feed to the same RF input jack.
3. Video Connection: For the best visual quality, it is recommended to use an HDMI cable. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the "HD Video Output" port on the rear panel of the ZvSync unit, and the other end to the HDMI input on your television. This will carry both high-definition video and digital audio.
4. Audio Connection: If your television has analog audio inputs, you can connect the ZvSync unit to your television using RCA cables. Connect the "Right Audio Output" and "Left Audio Output" ports on the rear panel of the ZvSync unit to the corresponding audio inputs on your television.
5. Infrared Remote Control Receiver: The ZvSync unit comes with an external IR receiver. Connect the 3.5mm plug on the infrared pigtail to the "IR" port on the front panel of the ZvSync unit. This is necessary for the remote control to work properly.
