Cleaning the OMAIGA KB-865E steam iron is important to maintain its performance. Here are the steps to clean the iron:
1. After ironing, set the steam control to the "No Steam" position and set the temperature control to the minimum setting. Unplug the iron from the outlet and allow it to cool completely.
2. Wipe off any scale or deposits from the soleplate using a damp cloth. Avoid using scouring pads, vinegar, or other chemicals to clean the soleplate as they can damage it.
3. Clean the upper part of the iron with a damp cloth.
4. Rinse the water tank with water regularly. Empty the water tank after cleaning. Never immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
5. To perform a self-cleaning function, follow these steps:
a. Half-fill the iron with water.
b. Place the iron on its heel.
c. Move the steam switch to the self-clean position.
d. Connect the iron to a power outlet and set the temperature dial to the maximum setting.
e. Leave the iron switched off and rested on its heel until it cools down.
f. Disconnect the iron from the power outlet.
g. While the iron is still hot, hold it horizontally over a sink.
h. Push the steam switch fully to the right and hold it in the self-clean position.
i. Steam and hot water will drain from the holes in the soleplate, so keep your hands and body away from the hot water.
j. Gently move the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
k. Once cleaning is complete, move the steam switch back to its original position.
l. Allow the iron to cool down completely before storing.
6. Wipe the soleplate with a cold, damp cloth after the cleaning process.
