The Vehicle Power Hub can be charged in three ways:
1. Charging from AC Charger: Connect the AC charger to a wall outlet using the included power cord. Then, connect the Anderson plug of the AC charger to the "50AMP INPUT/OUTPUT" outlet on the Vehicle Power Hub. The LED on the AC charger will turn red during charging and green when fully charged.
2. Charging In-vehicle (from Alternator): The Vehicle Power Hub has a built-in battery-to-battery charger that allows you to charge the lithium battery directly from your vehicle's alternator. Connect the supplied input cable to the "In-Vehicle Charge Input" port on the Vehicle Power Hub. Ensure that the black ground cable is connected to the vehicle chassis. For compatibility with newer vehicles with variable voltage alternators (EU6), connect the supplied IGN cable to the IGN labeled port and terminate it to the vehicle's ignition. For compatibility with older conventional alternators, do not connect the IGN cable to the ignition.
3. Charging from Solar: The Vehicle Power Hub has an integrated MPPT solar charge controller. Connect a 12V solar panel with a maximum charging current of 30A and an open circuit voltage of not more than 25Vdc to the "12V SOLAR INPUT" port on the Vehicle Power Hub using the supplied solar cable.
Remember to always ensure that the DC isolator switch is turned on during charging. For more detailed instructions and safety precautions, please refer to the user manual.
