To install the Livex Lighting 49430-01 Devone Ceiling Light, follow these steps:
1. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker box to ensure safety.
2. Remove the old fixture and all hardware from the Junction Box.
3. Carefully unpack the new fixture and lay out all the parts on a clear area, making sure not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
4. Thread the two mounting screws into the pre-drilled holes in the Mounting plate, spaced the same distance apart as the holes in the lamp body's canopy.
5. Attach the Mounting plate to the Junction Box using the two Junction Box Screws. Ensure that the side of the Mounting plate marked "GND" faces out. Note that the junction box is not included.
6. While holding the lamp body towards the ceiling, connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig.2 of the manual. Make sure all wire nuts are secured, and consider using electrical tape to wrap the connections. If your outlet has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture's ground wire directly to the Mounting plate using the green xxxx provided. After connecting the wires, carefully tuck them inside the Junction Box.
7. Attach the canopy to the junction box, aligning the screws on the mounting plate with the mounting holes in the canopy. Lock it securely with the ball nuts. Raise the candle sleeve insert lamp holder.
8. Install the light bulbs (not included) according to the fixture's specifications. Do not exceed the specified wattage.
9. Your installation is now complete. Restore power to the junction box and test the fixture.
