1. Ensure that the location and wall surface can handle the weight of the fan.
2. Mount the fan on a 12-inch (300mm) thick dry and cement-grouted firm wall or on 4 by 5-inch wood studs/joists.
3. Use the wall bracket as a template to mark the holes that need to be drilled.
4. Drill holes through the mounting surface using an appropriate-sized drill bit.
5. Use grade 5 fasteners to attach the wall mount assembly to the mounting surface. The type of fastener will depend on the surface:
- For steel surface: Use a 9/32" drill bit to drill through holes at pre-marked locations. Attach the wall mount assembly using 1/4"-20 hex screws, flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts.
- For masonry surface: Use a 1/4" expansion type bolt or 1/4" masonry lag with a shield designed to handle the weight of the fan. Drill holes at pre-marked locations using an appropriate-sized drill bit for the fastener.
6. Install the angle support bracket on the strong wall.
7. Install the fan motor on the angle support bracket.
8. Assemble the back guard, blade, and front guard to the motor.
