4. Drill holes through the mounting surface using an appropriate-sized drill bit.
5. Use grade 5 fasteners to attach the wall mount assembly to the mounting surface. The type of fastener will depend on the surface:
- For steel surface: Use a 9/32" drill bit to drill through holes at pre-marked locations. Attach the wall mount assembly using 1/4"-20 hex screws, flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts.
- For masonry surface: Use a 1/4" expansion type bolt or 1/4" masonry lag with a shield designed to handle the weight of the fan. Drill holes at pre-marked locations using an appropriate-sized drill bit for the fastener.
6. Install the angle support bracket on the strong wall.
