To properly install the Sunco Lighting 120-277v LED Wall Packs, please follow the instructions provided in the installation guide. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Find a qualified electrician for installation. Only licensed electricians should install the product to prevent personal injury or product damage.
2. Read the instructions before installation and ensure compliance with the national electric code (NEC) and all applicable federal, state, and local electric codes and safety standards.
3. Disconnect power before attempting installation or servicing to avoid electric shock or component damage.
4. Do not alter or modify the product, as it may cause serious personal injury, death, property damage, and/or product malfunction.
5. Ensure proper grounding of the product to prevent product malfunction and/or electrical shock.
6. The luminaire is designed to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 40°C and should be horizontally mounted with the LEDs facing down.
7. Disconnect the product and allow it to cool before servicing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
8. The fixture should be wall-mounted only and is suitable for wet locations.
9. The fixture should be located on a wall at least 18" below any overhang or other structural detail. It should not be recessed and should be mounted in the horizontal position.
10. The back plate of the fixture has a cast-in drill and knock-out template to match any standard recessed junction box. It also has four 1/2" NPS tapped holes for surface conduit, photo control, etc.
11. For a more secure installation, bolt the backplate to the mounting surface using standoffs.
12. Open the fixture from the front by removing the two screws located on the right side of the housing. If you need to completely remove the lens door from the fixture during installation, carefully disconnect the red and black wires at the Wago quick-disconnect, lift the lens door off the hinges, and set it aside for later re-installation.
13. Knock out/drill holes in the rear housing for mounting the fixture to the wall and for securing it to a junction box (J-box not provided).
14. Apply silicone sealant to any mounting holes to prevent water entry.
15. Secure the fixture to the wall with two or more screws and to the junction box with screws.
16. Complete the input wiring connections to the power source and ground as per the provided Wiring Connections instructions.
17. Reinstall the lens door, reconnect the wire leads from the driver to the lens door panel (red-to-red, black-to-black if unhooked), and secure it with the lens screws.
Please note that these instructions do not cover all details or variations in equipment, and it is important to refer to the manual for specific instructions and diagrams.
