To activate the KS VERLICHTING 7411 Puck Solar Grondspot, follow these steps:
1. Make sure that you install the solar ground fixture in a location with sufficient sunlight. Check the required dimensions for installation (refer to Fig. 1 in the manual).
2. Press the ON button to activate the solar ground spot (refer to Fig. 2 in the manual).
3. Place the solar ground spot in the desired location.
The solar panel will store solar energy during the day, and the LED will automatically light up when it becomes dark. For optimal operation, the solar ground spot should receive 8 sun hours per day.
It is important to note that if the solar panel is dirty or damaged, the battery may not charge properly. Regularly clean the solar panel to ensure efficient charging.
Additionally, if the protective glass of the solar ground spot is damaged or broken, it should be replaced immediately to maintain the IP value (protection against dust and water). Open the spot by unscrewing the four screws and removing the glass plate (refer to Fig. 3 in the manual).
For maintenance, it is recommended to rub the surface regularly with a neutral oil or water (without cleaning agents) and wipe it with a soft cloth. Avoid exposing the armature to a salty or acidic environment, as it can affect its performance. Regularly rubbing it with Carwash can help prolong the armature's lifetime.
If the battery needs replacement, ensure that you use a similar rechargeable battery with the following specifications: Type Ni-Mh AA 1500mAh 1.2V.
