To adjust the torque setting on the SEALEY AK624 Micrometer Torque Wrench, follow these steps:
1. Hold the torque wrench in one hand so that the required scale (lb.ft or Nm) is uppermost and visible.
2. Turn the knurled lock xxxx at the end of the handle anticlockwise to unlock the knurled adjusting grip.
3. Turn the adjusting grip to select the torque setting.
4. For example, if you want to set the wrench at 56lb.ft, turn the grip until the top edge of the grip is level with the 50lb.ft line on the handle scale and the zero graduation on the grip is aligned with the center line of the handle scale. Then, rotate the handle further clockwise until the '6' graduation on the grip is aligned with the center line to give a setting of 50 + 6 = 56lb.ft.
5. If you are using the Nm scale, each division on the grip graduation is equivalent to 1.36Nm. For example, to set the wrench at 100Nm, turn the grip until the top edge of the grip is level with the 94.9Nm line on the handle scale and the zero graduation on the grip is aligned with the center line of the handle scale. Then, rotate the handle further clockwise until the '4' graduation on the grip is aligned with the center line to give a setting of 94.9 + (4 x 1.36) = 94.9 + 5.44 = 100.34Nm.
6. Tighten the knurled lock xxxx at the end of the handle to prevent accidental alteration of the setting.
Please refer to the instruction manual for more details and illustrations on adjusting the torque setting.
