To set up the AngelsHorn HP-H002 Turntable Hi-Fi System, follow these steps:
1. Unpack all parts and remove any protective material.
2. Install the lid carefully over the hinge prongs.
3. Set up the turntable platter and belt:
- Insert the sub-platter into the turntable spindle located in the middle of the turntable.
- Loop the drive belt around the sub-platter and motor pulley.
- Carefully place the main platter onto the sub-platter.
- Place the slip mat on top of the platter.
4. Adjust the cartridge tracking force:
- Gently push and turn the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm.
- Remove the cartridge protection cap.
- Lower the tonearm lift and position the cartridge in the space between the tonearm rest and platter.
- Rotate the counterweight until the tonearm balances out.
- Hold the counterweight without moving it and gently rotate the downforce scale ring until the zero is in line with the black line on the rear of the tonearm.
- Rotate the counterweight counter-clockwise to adjust the downforce according to the cartridge manufacturer's recommendations.
5. Adjust the anti-skating force:
- Slip the loop of the anti-skating weight's thread over the 3rd groove of the stub.
- Feed the thread through the loop of the wire support.
6. Connect the turntable to your amplifier:
- Set the PHONO & Line Out Switch to PHONO mode if connecting to a phono input on your amplifier.
- Set the PHONO & Line Out Switch to LINE mode if connecting to a line-level input on your amplifier.
- Connect the phono out cables to the appropriate input on your amplifier.
7. Connect the power adapter to the turntable and plug it into a power outlet.
8. Press the power rocker switch to the "ON" position.
9. Place a record on the slipmat and set the 33/45 RPM Selector according to the type of record.
10. Unlock the arm clip and set the lift lever to the up position.
11. Position the tonearm over the desired location on the record and lower it carefully.
12. When finished playing the record, raise the tonearm and return it to rest on the arm clip.
