To assemble and install the MAYFAIR 271150 Amara 1 Light Table Lamp, please follow these steps:
1. Select a suitable location for the lamp, ensuring it is on a flat and stable surface indoors.
2. Make sure there are no flammable materials near or over the lamp.
3. Avoid placing the lamp in direct line with an air vent/system.
4. If the lamp is placed in a moist area, ensure it is well ventilated and use an appropriately rated exhaust fan if necessary. Moisture damage is not covered under warranty.
5. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
6. Carefully unpack the lamp, making sure not to pull any electrical wires that may damage the connection.
7. Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and check if any parts are missing. If parts are missing, return the product to the place of purchase.
8. Inspect the lamp for any damage during transport. If it appears damaged, do not install or operate it. Return it to the place of purchase for inspection, repair, or replacement.
9. Remove all packaging materials from the lamp.
10. Remove the plastic from the lamp shade before using the lamp.
11. Remove the lamp holder ring from the lamp holder.
12. Install the lamp shade onto the lamp holder and secure it with the lamp holder ring.
13. Install a suitable globe (not included) into the lamp holder, making sure not to exceed the maximum wattage rating.
14. Select a suitable location for the lamp, following the installation requirements mentioned earlier.
15. Insert the plug into a mains power socket outlet and ensure it is fully plugged in.
16. Turn on the power at the mains power socket outlet.
17. Use the cord line switch to turn the lamp on/off.
Please note that before performing any maintenance, cleaning, changing the globe, or making adjustments to the lamp, always ensure the power is off and the lamp has cooled down. The external flexible cable or cord of the lamp cannot be replaced, and if damaged, the lamp should be destroyed. Keep young children supervised to prevent them from playing with the lamp. Handle the lamp and shade with care to avoid damage or breakage. Clean the lamp by wiping it with a soft damp cloth, avoiding soaking or immersing it in water or other liquids. Avoid contact with corrosive chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
