To connect the Bass Habit PP55.4 G2 or PP65.4 G2 amplifier to your vehicle's electrical system, follow these steps:
1. Ground Connection (GND): Connect the amplifier's Ground (GND) terminal to a solid point on the vehicle's metal chassis, as close to the amplifier as possible. Scrape away any paint from this location and use a star-type lock washer to secure the connection. Use a minimum of 8 AWG/10mm² ground wire.
2. Power Connection (+12V): Connect a wire directly to the vehicle's positive battery terminal. Install an appropriate fuse and holder within 30cm/12" from the battery terminal. Keep the fuse uninstalled during routing and connecting the power wire. Use grommets when routing wires through the firewall or other metal parts. After routing and connecting, install the fuse into the fuse holder. Use a minimum of 8 AWG/10mm² power wire.
3. Remote Connection (REM): Connect the amplifier's Remote (REM) terminal to the source unit's Remote turn-on lead using a minimum of 0.75mm²/18 gauge wire. If your source unit does not have a turn-on connection, connect the amplifier's REM terminal through a power switch button that can provide a +12V signal.
Please refer to the user manual for additional details and illustrations on the installation process.
