To connect the Philips TAPB603 soundbar to your TV, you have several options depending on the available connections on your TV. Here are the steps for each connection method:
1. HDMI Connection:
- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV.
- Make sure that the HDMI-CEC (EasyLink) feature is enabled on both the soundbar and your TV. This allows you to control the soundbar with your TV remote.
- Set your TV's audio output to "HDMI ARC" or "Audio System" to ensure the sound is routed through the soundbar.
2. Optical Connection:
- Connect one end of an optical cable to the digital optical audio input on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end of the optical cable to the optical output on your TV.
- Set your TV's audio output to "Optical" or "Digital Audio Out" to ensure the sound is routed through the soundbar.
3. Audio-in Connection:
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the audio-in port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output on your TV.
- Set your TV's audio output to "External Speakers" or "Audio System" to ensure the sound is routed through the soundbar.
Once the connection is established, make sure to select the corresponding input source on the soundbar using the remote control or the buttons on the soundbar itself. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on selecting the input source and adjusting the audio settings.
Note: The Philips TAPB603 soundbar also supports Bluetooth and USB connections, allowing you to stream audio wirelessly from compatible devices or play music directly from a USB drive.
