To connect the Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness to your Harley-Davidson Low Rider, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the motorcycle is on a level surface and the ignition switch is in the off position.
2. Remove the seat and locate the rear lighting connectors to the rear fender.
3. Plug the Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness into the rear turn signal lighting connectors. The JAE turn signal connectors with the brown wire will connect to the black JAE connectors of the bike's wiring harness. The JAE turn signal connectors with the purple wire will connect to the gray JAE connectors of the bike's wiring harness.
4. Route the Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness through the rear fender to the taillight mounting base.
5. Use the provided Magnet Wire Tie Holders and Wire Ties to secure the harness to the underside of the rear fender, ensuring that the harness will not come in contact with the rear tire while operating the motorcycle.
6. Connect the Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness to the 2-pin female connector with the purple wire to the integrated taillight 2-pin male turn signal connector with the purple wire. Connect the 2-pin female connector with the brown wire to the integrated taillight 2-pin male turn signal connector with the brown wire. The 2-pin female connectors on the integrated taillight will not be used.
7. Install the taillight on the taillight base.
8. Perform a BCM sync by turning the ignition on, turning the 4-way hazards on, turning the ignition off, allowing the 4-way hazards to run for 3-4 minutes, and then turning the ignition on and the 4-way hazards off.
9. Test all lighting for proper operation before riding.
