To install the T.I.P. MSC 3 Deep Spring Pump, please follow these steps:
1. General installation information:
- Ensure that the device is not connected to the electrical mains during the installation process.
- Protect the pump and the entire connection system from frost.
2. Installation of the pressure line:
- Use a pressure line with at least the same diameter as the pressure port of the pump.
- A suitable flexible hose or rigid pipes can be used for the pressure line.
- Install a check valve (non-return valve) in the pressure line to prevent liquid from flowing back into the pump after it is shut down.
3. Installation of lowering rope:
- Use a suitable lowering rope to lower or raise the pump, never use the pressure hose or connection cable.
- Use a stainless steel or synthetic rope, avoiding ropes prone to rust, weathering, or mold.
- Fasten the rope to the pump using the eyelets located at the upper part of the unit.
- Tie the lowering rope, connection cable, and pressure line together at distance intervals of about 2 meters to prevent entanglement.
4. Positioning the pump:
- Lower the pump into the liquid to be discharged, ensuring it does not bump or rub against the cavity.
- The pump must be fully immersed in the liquid, with a minimum distance of 0.5 meters from the ground to prevent debris from being sucked in.
- To ensure proper positioning, set the pump on the bottom of the well shaft and mark the submersion depth. Make a second marking 0.5 meters below the first marking and secure the pump at this position.
5. Electrical connection:
- The unit comes with a mains connection cable and plug. Do not use the cable to carry the pump or pull off the plug.
- Ensure the electrical connection is earthed according to applicable standards.
- Use a highly sensitive residual current circuit-breaker (FI switch) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA.
- If using extension cables, ensure their cross-section is not smaller than the H07RN-F cable specified in the manual.
Please refer to the complete manual for further details, illustrations, and safety instructions during the installation process.
