To install the Niles CSF55A Passive Bar System, follow these steps:
1. Cut a rectangular opening in the drywall according to the provided cutout template for the In-Wall Mounting System.
2. Locate and mark the position of the wall studs within the cutout area.
3. Install the In-Wall Mounting System by attaching the xxxx Down Slide Brackets to the top and bottom rails and securing them to the wall studs.
4. Route the speaker wires from the AV receiver to each speaker module location, using the space between the xxxx Down Slide Brackets and the wall studs.
5. Connect the speaker wires to the speaker wire terminals on each speaker module, ensuring proper positive and negative polarity.
6. If you have a powered model, route the 24V AC power supply wire from the In-Wall Power Supply Box to the Amplifier Module location using a fish tape or push/pull rod.
7. Install the Speaker Modules by hanging them on the In-Wall Mounting System and snapping them into place.
8. If you have a powered model, install the Amplifier Module by hanging it on the In-Wall Mounting System and snapping it into place.
9. Connect the speaker wires and the power supply cable to the Amplifier Module using the supplied connectors.
10. Secure the In-Wall Mounting System by tightening the screws on the xxxx Down Slide Brackets and the Clamp Down End Brackets.
11. Install the In Between Covers and Joiners to fill the empty spaces between the Speaker and Amplifier Modules.
12. Attach the Speaker Grille magnetically to the In-Wall Mounting System, adjusting its position to center it with the TV.
13. Test the system before completing the installation by plugging in the AC power cord and ensuring all connections are correct.
