To install the DYNOJET PC6-17081 Power Commander 6, please follow these steps:
1. Turn off the ignition before starting the installation.
2. Remove the seat of your vehicle.
3. Unplug the ECM (Electronic Control Module).
4. Plug the PC6 wiring harness in-line between the ECM and the stock wiring harness.
5. Secure the Power Commander module under the seat using the supplied Velcro strips.
6. Before attaching the Velcro, clean the surfaces with the alcohol swab provided.
7. Reinstall the seat.
8. Download the latest map files for your vehicle from the Dynojet website at dynojet.com/tunes.
Please note that the Power Commander 6 also has optional accessory inputs that you can use:
- Map: You can switch between two different base maps by connecting a switch to the MAP inputs. Any open/close type switch can be used.
- Shifter: If you have a clutch-less full throttle upshift system, insert the wires from the Dynojet quick shifter into either Input 1 or Input 2.
- Speed: If your vehicle has a speed sensor, you can tap into the signal side of the sensor and connect it to the Speed input. This allows you to calculate gear position in the Control Center Software.
- Analog: This input is for a 0-5v signal, such as engine temperature or boost. Once this input is established, you can adjust your fuel curve based on this input in the Power Core software.
- Launch: You can connect a wire to either Input 1 or Input 2 and then connect the other end to a switch. This switch, when engaged, will limit the RPM to a certain level set in the software. Releasing the switch will allow full RPM.
To connect wires to the Power Commander 6, remove the rubber plug on the backside of the unit, loosen the xxxx for the corresponding input, insert the wire into the hole until it stops, and then tighten the xxxx . Make sure to reinstall the rubber plug.
