To install the DYNOJET PC6-16017 Power Commander 6, follow these steps:
1. Remove the seat and fuel tank. If needed, drain the fuel or have someone hold the fuel tank up during installation.
2. Lay the PC6 in the battery area and route the harness up the right side of the frame, following the stock wiring harness.
3. Unplug the stock wiring harness from each injector.
4. Plug the PC6 harness in line with the stock wiring harness and each injector. The ORANGE colored wires from the PC6 go to the front cylinder, and the YELLOW colored wires go to the rear cylinder.
5. Locate the rear ignition coil behind the right-hand side cover.
6. Unbolt the rear coil to access the bottom wires.
7. Unplug the BLACK/WHITE and YELLOW/BLUE wires from the coil.
8. Plug the set of RED colored wires from the PC6 in line with the BLACK/WHITE coil wire and the coil.
9. Plug the set of BLUE-colored wires from the PC6 in line with the YELLOW/BLUE coil wire and the coil.
10. Bolt the rear coil back to its mounting bracket.
11. Locate and unplug the Crank Position Sensor connectors on the right-hand side of the bike, near the steering stem. These are the RED, 2-pin connectors.
12. Plug the set of RED, 2-pin connectors from the PC6 wiring harness in line with the bike's Crank Position Sensor connectors.
13. Locate the front ignition coil on the left-hand side of the bike, above the front cylinder head.
14. Unplug the BLUE/YELLOW wire from the coil.
15. Plug the set of GREEN-colored wires from the PC6 in line with the BLUE/YELLOW wire and the coil.
16. Remove the battery tray lid.
17. Attach the ground wire from the PC6 to the negative side of the battery.
18. Reinstall the battery tray lid, ensuring it does not pinch the ground wire.
19. Use the supplied Velcro to secure the PC6 to the top of the battery tray lid. Clean both surfaces with the supplied alcohol swab before applying the Velcro adhesive.
20. Reinstall the fuel tank and seat.
21. Download the latest map files from the DYNOJET website at dynojet.com/tunes.
