To connect and set up the CONCEPTRONIC GEP-0820W90 8 Port Gigabit PoE Switch, please follow these steps:
1. Power off all devices (switch, PoE devices, and network devices) before making any connections.
2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the LAN port of your network device (e.g., router, modem) and the other end to any of the 8 ports on the GEP-0820W90 switch.
3. Connect your PoE devices (e.g., IP cameras, wireless access points) to the remaining ports on the switch using Ethernet cables.
4. Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the switch, and plug the adapter into a power outlet.
5. Power on the switch and wait for it to boot up. The LED indicators on the front panel will light up to indicate power and network connectivity.
6. The switch will automatically detect and provide power to any connected PoE devices that are compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards.
7. If you need to manage the switch, such as configuring VLANs or QoS settings, you can access the switch's web-based management interface. Open a web browser and enter the default IP address of the switch (usually 192.168.0.1) in the address bar. Use the default username and password provided in the manual to log in.
8. Once logged in, you can configure various settings and monitor the status of the switch and connected devices.
