Yes, you can defrost frozen food in the Sharp R-21LCFS commercial microwave. The defrost function is called "Express Defrost" and it is designed to defrost meat and poultry faster and better. To use the Express Defrost function, follow these steps:
1. Place the frozen food on a microwave-safe plate or dish.
2. Close the microwave door securely.
3. Press the "EXPRESS DEFROST" pad on the control panel.
4. Use the number pads to enter the weight of the food. For example, if you have 1 pound of meat, enter "1.00".
5. Press the "START" pad to begin the defrosting process.
6. The microwave will automatically calculate the defrosting time based on the weight of the food. The defrosting time will be displayed on the digital readout.
7. During the defrosting process, the microwave will periodically pause and prompt you to turn the food over or rearrange it for more even defrosting. Follow the on-screen instructions.
8. Once the defrosting time is complete, the microwave will beep and the defrosting process will stop. Open the door and check if the food is fully defrosted. If not, you can continue defrosting by pressing the "START" pad again.
