Cleaning the Breville BJE430SILUSC Juice Fountain Cold Juicer is important to ensure its longevity and optimal performance. Here are the instructions for cleaning the different parts of the juicer:
1. Rinse all parts (except the motor base) under running water to remove the majority of juice and pulp.
2. Wash the filter bowl surround, stainless steel filter basket, food pusher, and pulp container in warm soapy water with a soft cloth.
3. To minimize cleaning, you can line the pulp container with a biodegradable bag to collect the pulp.
4. Wipe the motor base with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Remove any excess food particles from the power cord.
5. Do not immerse the motor base in liquids.
6. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleaners on the motor base or the jug, as they may scratch the surface. Use warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
7. The filter basket can be soaked in hot soapy water for 10 minutes if necessary. Hold the filter basket under running water and use the provided brush in a circular motion to clear away pulp from the inside and outside of the basket.
8. After cleaning, hold the filter basket up towards a light source to check if the fine mesh pores are blocked. If blocked, soak the filter basket in hot water with 10% lemon juice to loosen and brush under running water again.
9. The filter bowl surround, stainless steel filter basket, food pusher, and pulp container are dishwasher safe and can be washed on a standard cycle on the top shelf. The juice cover and juice jug are not dishwasher safe.
10. If there are stubborn food stains, you can soak the plastic parts in water with 10% lemon juice or clean them with a non-abrasive cleaner.
11. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling the juicer.
