To install and set up the LevelOne POR-1321 2 Port Gigabit PoE Repeater, please follow the steps below:
1. Mounting: Use the included mounting kit to securely mount the repeater. Ensure that it is placed in a suitable location that is protected from harsh weather conditions.
2. Connection: Connect the POR-1321 to your existing network using an Ethernet cable. Plug one end of the cable into the "IN" port of the repeater and the other end into your network switch or router.
3. Power: The POR-1321 is powered through Power over Ethernet (PoE) from a PoE switch or injector. Make sure to connect the PoE cable from the PoE switch/injector to the "IN" port of the repeater.
4. Device Connection: Connect your PoE device (e.g., IP camera) to one of the "OUT" ports of the repeater using an Ethernet cable. If you have a non-PoE device that requires data connectivity only, you can connect it to the other "OUT" port.
5. Daisy Chaining: If you need to extend the range further, you can daisy chain multiple POR-1321 repeaters. Simply connect the "OUT" port of one repeater to the "IN" port of the next repeater using Ethernet cables.
6. Power and Link Indicators: The repeater has LED indicators to show the power and PoE status. The Power indicator will light up when the repeater is receiving power. The PoE In and PoE Out indicators will light up when the PoE connection is established.
7. Configuration: The POR-1321 is a plug and play device, so no additional configuration is required. It will automatically forward the PoE and data signals to the connected devices.
Please refer to the included Quick Installation Guide for visual illustrations and additional information on the installation process.
