To install the DYNOJET YZF R1 2015-2019 Power Commander, please follow these steps:
1. Start by turning off the ignition before beginning the installation.
2. Remove the seat and fuel tank.
3. Take off the left-hand side cover and the cover over the ECU.
4. Place the Power Commander 6 (PC6) in the tail section and route it down the left side of the frame towards the throttle bodies. Make sure to connect it to the lower set of injectors.
- The PC6 ORANGE colored wires go to cylinder #1.
- The PC6 YELLOW colored wires go to cylinder #2.
- The PC6 GREEN colored wires go to cylinder #3.
- The PC6 BLUE colored wires go to cylinder #4.
5. Attach the ground wire of the PC6 to the common ground location towards the rear of the engine.
6. Plug the PC6 in-line with the stock gear position sensor and wiring harness. This connection is located on the left side of the engine above the sprocket cover.
7. Unplug the small connector from the ECU to gain access to the harness. Pull the sheathing back.
8. Use the supplied Posi-tap to attach the PC6 GREY wire to the stock WHITE wire of the ECU. There are two WHITE wires, and you should go to pin #11 when looking at the back of the connector. Plug the connector back into the ECU.
9. Unplug the crank position sensor connector, located near the ECU. Pull back the rubber boot to access it.
10. Plug the PC6 wiring harness in-line with the crank position sensor (CPS) and the stock wiring harness.
11. Remove the four bolts holding the fuel tank bracket in place to allow the PC6 harness to route underneath it.
12. Install the PC6 in the tail section of the motorcycle near the exhaust servo. Alternatively, it can be installed on the right side of the battery if desired.
13. Reinstall the fuel tank, cover, and seat.
14. Finally, download the latest map files from the DYNOJET website at dynojet.com/tunes.
