To change the drill bit on the Metabo PowerMaxx Series 12 BL Cordless drill-screwdriver, follow these steps:
1. Opening the drill chuck: Turn the drill chuck sleeve (1) in a clockwise direction.
2. Clamping the tool: Open the drill chuck and insert the tool as far as possible. Turn the drill chuck sleeve (1) in an anti-clockwise direction until the tool is clamped securely.
3. If you have the BS 18 L BL Q or Powermaxx BS 12 BL Q model with the "Quick" change system, you can remove the drill chuck by pushing the interlocking ring forward and pulling off the drill chuck. To mount the chuck, push the interlock ring forward and move the chuck as far as the limit stop on the drill spindle.
4. If you have the BS 18 L BL, SB 18 L BL, Powermaxx BS 12 BL, or Powermaxx SB 12 BL model, remove the locking xxxx (left-handed thread). Clamp an Allen key in the chuck and strike lightly with a rubber hammer to loosen, then unscrew. To attach the chuck, employ the same procedure in reverse order.
Please refer to the instruction manual for further details and illustrations on changing the drill bit.
