To install the Leviton AEM65 Architectural Edition In-Ceiling Loudspeaker, follow these steps:
1. Choose the desired location for the speaker in your ceiling. Ensure that there is enough space and clearance for the speaker to fit properly.
2. Use the provided template to mark the cutout dimensions on your ceiling. Carefully cut the hole using a drywall saw or a suitable cutting tool.
3. Connect the speaker wires to the speaker terminals. The AEM65 speaker has two voice coils, so you will need to connect four conductors to the speaker. Use a pair of 16/2 stranded wires for this purpose.
4. Insert the speaker into the cutout hole in the ceiling. Make sure it fits securely and aligns properly with the template markings.
5. Use the included mounting screws to secure the speaker in place. Tighten the screws until the speaker is firmly attached to the ceiling.
6. Connect the other end of the speaker wires to your audio source or amplifier. Ensure that the connections are secure and properly matched (positive to positive, negative to negative).
7. Test the speaker by playing audio through it. Adjust the volume and settings on your audio source or amplifier as needed.
Note: It is recommended to consult the Leviton AEM65 Architectural Edition In-Ceiling Loudspeaker User Guide for detailed installation instructions and safety precautions.
