To install and set up the CONCEPTRONIC POR-1200 Outdoor PoE-Plus Repeater, follow these steps:
1. Determine the optimal location for the repeater, keeping in mind that it should be within the range of your PoE devices and protected from harsh weather conditions.
2. Mount the repeater using the included mounting kit. The repeater is designed for pole mounting.
3. Connect the Power Sending Equipment (PSE), such as a PoE-Plus switch, to the "IN" port of the repeater using an Ethernet cable.
4. Connect the device you want to extend the PoE connection to the "OUT" port of the repeater using an Ethernet cable. If the device requires power, connect it to the "PoE Out" port. If the device only requires data, connect it to the "Non-PoE Out" port.
5. Repeat step 4 for any additional devices you want to extend the PoE connection to. You can daisy chain multiple repeaters to extend the range even further.
6. Once all connections are made, power on the PSE. The repeater will receive power from the PSE, eliminating the need for an additional power supply.
7. The repeater is now ready to use. It will automatically forward Power over Ethernet (PoE) to the connected devices, extending the PoE connection for up to 100 meters.
