To install the ITC Phone Dock Wireless Charger, you have two options: surface mount or under mount installation. Here are the steps for each:
Surface Mount Install:
1. Determine the installation location and ensure there is enough room for the mounting nut on the back.
2. Drill a 3" hole at the chosen location.
3. Install the charger into the hole and tighten the provided plastic nut.
4. To prevent loosening from vibration, tighten the locking xxxx on the nut.
5. Wire the charger to your system following the provided diagram.
Under Mount Install:
1. Determine the installation location and ensure there is a flat surface on the front with enough room for the mounting nut on the back.
2. If the substrate is 2mm or thinner, route a counterbore hole with a 3" diameter to clear the charger.
3. If the substrate is thicker than 16mm, route an additional counterbore hole to accommodate the nut.
4. Assemble the retaining nut to the charger, leaving a small amount of the charger sticking above the face of the nut.
5. Insert the charger into the hole and xxxx it in place if the material allows. If the material is too thin, use the adhesive pads on the nut for attachment, following 3M recommendations for proper adhesion.
6. Slowly turn the charger until it bottoms out on the back side of the mounting surface. Do not over tighten.
7. Once installed to the correct depth, tighten the locking xxxx to prevent any loosening of the nut from vibration.
8. Wire the charger to your system following the provided diagram.
