To connect your Jabra Pro 9450 Mono Headset with a Siemens OpenStage 30, 40, 60, or 80 phone, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have the Jabra PRO 9450 headset and the Jabra LINK 14201-10 adapter.
2. Locate the DHSG cable that came with your Jabra Pro 9450 headset. It should have a blue marking on one end.
3. Plug the 1-sided end of the DHSG cable (marked "blue") into the socket on your Siemens OpenStage phone that is marked with the "headset" symbol.
4. Insert the RJ9 plug of the DHSG cable into the socket on the Jabra Pro 9450 base that is marked with the "phone" symbol.
5. Connect the RJ45 plug of the DHSG cable into the socket on the Jabra Pro 9450 base that is marked with "AUX."
6. Now, you have the option to set up the headset on your phone either automatically or manually.
Automatic configuration:
- To start the automatic configuration, ask someone to call you on your Siemens OpenStage phone and wait for at least 10 seconds before answering the call. This should install the appropriate EHS mode.
- If the automatic configuration does not work, you can proceed with the manual configuration.
Manual configuration:
- Set the phone setup switch on the Jabra Pro 9450 base to position "A."
- To adjust the microphone level, remove the cover from the base of the Jabra Pro 9450 and make a call using the headset. If you are too loud or too quiet for the person you are calling, use the volume adjuster on the base until you achieve the desired volume level.
- On your Siemens OpenStage phone, go to Menu > User > Audio > Settings > Headset > Cordless > OK to set up the headset operation on the phone.
- Important: The dial tone signal in the headset will only transfer when the standard ring tones are used on your phone. There is no ring tone signal transfer with mp3.
