To install the LG WDP6B Steel Pedestal Storage Drawer, follow these steps:
1. Remove the pedestal, installation hardware, and instructions from the shipping carton.
2. Before installing the pedestal, clean the floor and remove any foreign objects that could cause vibration.
3. Level the pedestal by adjusting the feet. Avoid extending the legs more than necessary to minimize vibration.
4. Once the pedestal is leveled, tighten the lock nuts up toward the base of the washer using a wrench.
5. Position the washer/combo on top of the pedestal. Ensure that two or more people are available to handle the weight.
6. Level the washer/combo on the pedestal by adjusting the feet.
7. Align the holes on the pedestal with the holes in the appliance, then install the specified number of screws at each corner to securely attach the appliance to the pedestal.
8. Move the washer/combo to the desired place. Make sure it is placed on a solid and level floor.
9. Adjust the legs of the appliance and pedestal by turning with a wrench. Then, adjust the lock nut toward the pedestal while holding the pedestal leg using a wrench.
10. Perform a diagonal check by pushing down the edges of the washing machine top plate diagonally. The machine should not move up and down. If it rocks, adjust the feet again.
11. To ensure proper leveling, run the washer with a test load of approximately 6 pounds. Check for excessive rocking or vibration during the spin cycle. If needed, adjust the leveling feet until the washer is stable.
For dryer installation, follow similar steps, including attaching the dryer to the pedestal with screws and adjusting the legs for proper leveling.
