To clean and care for the Bamboo BMB17024 7 Multi-Color Chopping Mats, follow these instructions:
1. After each use, wash the mats with warm soapy water. You can use a sponge or dishcloth to clean them thoroughly.
2. If you prefer, you can also clean the mats in the dishwasher. However, make sure to place them on the top rack only.
3. After washing, always dry the mats completely before storing them on the Bamboo Storage Board. This will help prevent any moisture buildup and potential mold or mildew growth.
It is important to note that the mats are made of polypropylene and meet all USA FDA standards for food safety. This material is safe for use with food and easy to clean.
For the Bamboo Storage Board itself, clean the surface after use with a hot, soapy sponge. Avoid submerging the board in water or putting it in the dishwasher, as this may damage the glued joints and cause it to break or warp. Instead, you can periodically condition the board by lightly rubbing it with mineral oil. Use a clean cloth to apply the mineral oil, and do not substitute with olive or vegetable oils.
