To properly install the Community R.5-94Z 2-Way Loudspeaker, follow these steps:
1. Determine the mounting location: Choose a suitable location for the loudspeaker that provides optimal sound projection and coverage for your specific application.
2. Mounting options: The loudspeaker comes with five 3/8-16 rigging points, allowing for various mounting options. You can use the supplied yoke bracket or optional PMB Series pole mount brackets for installation.
3. Mounting the loudspeaker: If using the yoke bracket, attach it to the loudspeaker using the provided hardware. Ensure that the bracket is securely fastened. If using pole mount brackets, follow the instructions provided with the brackets for proper installation.
4. Wiring: Connect the input connection of the loudspeaker to your audio source using the 12-foot SJOW #16 gauge cable with stripped ends. Ensure proper polarity and secure connections.
5. Signal processing: It is recommended to use a 90 Hz high pass filter in your signal processing to optimize the performance of the loudspeaker.
6. Aim and angle: The loudspeaker has an IEC529 IP55W rating with a minimum 5-degree downward aiming angle. Adjust the loudspeaker's aiming strap or mounting bracket to achieve the desired angle and coverage.
7. Test and adjust: Once the loudspeaker is installed, test the sound output and adjust the positioning if necessary to achieve the desired sound coverage and quality.
