To connect the AUDAC NELO706 surface mount speaker to a 70V/100V public address system, you will need to use the line transformer that is built into the speaker. The line transformer allows the speaker to be used on distributed line systems. The NELO706 speaker has power tappings for 6W and 3W.
To make the connection, follow these steps:
1. Identify the SnapConnect™ terminals on the back of the speaker. These terminals provide a faster, more reliable, and safer choice for fixed installations.
2. Strip the insulation from the end of the speaker cable to expose the bare wires.
3. Insert the bare wires into the appropriate SnapConnect™ terminals on the speaker. The terminals are labeled for easy identification.
4. Make sure to match the polarity of the wires correctly. The positive (+) wire should be connected to the positive terminal, and the negative (-) wire should be connected to the negative terminal.
5. Once the wires are securely connected, tighten the terminals to ensure a solid connection.
6. Connect the other end of the speaker cable to the corresponding terminals on your 70V/100V public address system. Consult the system's manual or consult with a professional if you are unsure about the specific connections for your system.
7. After the connections are made, test the speaker by playing some audio through the system. Adjust the volume as needed using the controls on your public address system.
