To install the Progress Lighting P660005-XXX-30 LED Hood Step Light, please follow the steps outlined in the user manual:

1. Before beginning installation, ensure that all parts are included as shown in the contents diagrams on page 1. If any part is missing or damaged, do not proceed with the installation.
2. Estimated assembly time is approximately 30 minutes.
3. Tools required for assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, pliers, wire stripper, safety glasses, electrical tape, and a ladder.
4. Prior to installation, turn off the main power supply to the area where the light will be installed.
5. Strip 3/8" of insulation from the ends of the electrical wires.
6. Using wire nuts, connect the white fixture wire to the white supply wire from the outlet box, and connect the black fixture wire to the black supply wire.
7. Connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire using a wire nut or by fastening them to the ground xxxx on the mounting plate. Ensure that all wire connections are pushed into the outlet box.
8. Push all wires inside the junction box, then attach the LED assembly onto the junction box using the mounting screws supplied with the junction box (not included).
9. Apply the gasket (D) to the desired cover (A or B). Use the cover screws (BB) to tighten the front cover and the gasket down to the LED assembly.
10. For outdoor or wet location installations, it is important to seal the edge of the wall plate coming in contact with the mounting surface using a latex waterproof caulking to prevent water from entering the outlet box.
11. Once the installation is complete, restore power to the area.
