To mount the Polk Audio Atrium SUB 100 speaker, you have two options: ground mounting and pendant mounting. Here are the instructions for each method:
Ground Mounting:
1. Attach the ground stake to the security plate using the provided #10 pan head xxxx and .25" split ring lock washer.
2. Dig a hole with a diameter of 6.5" and a depth between 2.25" and 7.25" to stabilize and secure the speaker.
3. Place the stake/security plate assembly in the hole and cover it with dirt, tamping down the soil as you fill in the hole.
4. Attach the Atrium SAT300 satellite speaker to the stake using the rubber bumper and the provided #6 pan head screws.
5. Loosen the xxxx on the speaker to aim it in the desired direction.
6. Once the speaker is properly aimed, tighten the xxxx to secure it in place.
Pendant Mounting:
1. Determine the desired hanging height for the speaker and secure the pendant cable to the ceiling or beam.
2. Run the loudspeaker wire along the pendant cable.
3. Attach the provided faston connectors to the loudspeaker wires, with the large connector labeled "+" and the small connector labeled "-".
4. Remove the xxxx , clamp, and bracket from the back of the speaker to expose the loudspeaker spade terminals.
5. Disconnect the existing loudspeaker wire from the spade terminals using needle-nose pliers and remove the bracket assembly.
6. Thread the new speaker wire through the wire hole in the pendant cap and connect the wires to the loudspeaker spade terminals, ensuring correct polarity.
7. Attach the pendant cap to the speaker using the provided eyebolt, lock washer, and nut.
8. Secure the pendant cable to the eyebolt.
9. Hang the speaker at the desired location.
